Community Education

What is Community Education?
Kerry Education and training Board in conjunction with the community and voluntary sector organise and deliver courses in the villages and parishes of County Kerry.  This ensures that all adults in Kerry have an opportunity to participate in education programmes. These course are provided free of charge.

Kerry Education and Training Board’s Community Education programme aims to provide locally based education programme that is responsive to the local community’s needs.  A programme that is accessible, inclusive and culturally appropriate will be developed in consultation with the local community.  The Community Education Programme is learning that takes place in the community, embraces the principals of empowerment, consideration, collective consciousness, social justice and equality of access.

Community Education Classes for Autumn  2021

Millinery For Beginners

This course will commence on 6th October 2021 and run for six  Wednesday evenings 7-9.30pm until 17th November 2021. Complete beginners most welcome, all materials will be supplied. Apply here

Drawing for Everyone

This course will commence on 4th October  2021 and run for six Monday mornings 10am – 12.30pm  until 15th November 2021 . You will work with a variety of materials and learn basic drawing & painting techniques. Complete beginners welcome. Apply here

Chair Yoga

This course commences on 6th October 2021 and runs for 1 hour on Wednesday afternoons until 17th November2021. Apply here
