Community Education

What is Community Education?
Kerry Education and training Board in conjunction with the community and voluntary sector organise and deliver courses in the villages and parishes of County Kerry.  This ensures that all adults in Kerry have an opportunity to participate in education programmes. These course are provided free of charge.

Kerry Education and Training Board’s Community Education programme aims to provide locally based education programme that is responsive to the local community’s needs.  A programme that is accessible, inclusive and culturally appropriate will be developed in consultation with the local community.  The Community Education Programme is learning that takes place in the community, embraces the principals of empowerment, consideration, collective consciousness, social justice and equality of access.

Community Education Classes for Autumn  2019

Sculpting                      Tuesday 7.30 – 9.30 pm    x 6 weeks  starting 14th October 2019

 Painting                       Thursday 2 – 4.30 pm x 5 weeks starting 10th October – Class Full

Zumba                            Tuesday 11 am – 12 pm     x 6 weeks starting 17th September

Knitting                         Wednesday 7 – 9 pm x 6 weeks starting 16th October

Singing                            Wednesday 7 – 9 pm x 6 weeks starting 16th October

Drama                             Monday 7 – 9.30 pm x 6 weeks starting 14th October
