What is Community Education?
Kerry Education and training Board in conjunction with the community and voluntary sector organise and deliver courses in the villages and parishes of County Kerry. This ensures that all adults in Kerry have an opportunity to participate in education programmes. These course are provided free of charge.
Kerry Education and Training Board’s Community Education programme aims to provide locally based education programme that is responsive to the local community’s needs. A programme that is accessible, inclusive and culturally appropriate will be developed in consultation with the local community. The Community Education Programme is learning that takes place in the community, embraces the principals of empowerment, consideration, collective consciousness, social justice and equality of access.
Community Education Classes for Autumn 2022
This course will commence on 21st September 2022 and run for six Wednesday evenings 7pm – 9.30pm . This will give you a chance to experiment with a variety of techniques to revive old furniture. Complete beginners welcome. Apply here

Healthy cooking Made Easy!
This course will run on Tuesday mornings 10am to 1pm for 6 weeks starting 15th November 2022. During this hands on course you will learn the basics of nutrition & healthy cooking for everyday as well as delicious, healthy options for Christmas. Apply here
